#wcw: My natural hair sistas

SS-ShirleyRegardless the color, texture or style your hair is today, every woman of color has dealt with their natural hair. We all have a hair journey. Some embrace their journey more than others. I honestly would not want to be any other race. We are the most creative and expressive when it comes to hair.No I am not my hair. However, I take pride in this crown I wear.

Sesame Street is one thing that makes me proud to be American. Sesame Street is a generational household staple. Period. Therefore, I do NOT understand why I just found Sesame Street’s ode to every brown girl. Over five years ago, “I love my hair” was published  to help little black girls love their natural hair. I just want to take this moment to say, I love us and all our black girl magik. Ok, that’s it, really. Each one, Teach one. Make sure every brownie you know sees this 🙂

If you have not seen the video or its been awhile hear you go !
